A villa entrance and outdoor room built around one idea: make arrival, shade, cooking and gathering feel like one piece of architecture.

The challenge

The outdoor zone needed to host cooking, dining and lounging without turning into a furniture plan. At the front, the entrance needed a stronger sense of arrival while staying connected to the villa's existing language.

Thinking

The pergola became the organizer, not an accessory. It sets the footprint, controls shade and gives the social zones a shared ceiling. Brick, black metal and pale stone carry the same rhythm from the outdoor room to the gate.

Process

Architecture and visualization were developed together to test circulation, shadows, furniture clearances and the cooking wall from both eye level and above. The entrance was checked as one continuous route—from street to stair.

Solution

A single pergola frame gathers cooking, dining and lounging while planting keeps circulation clear. At the front, gate, steps and glazed door read as one threshold. The full-villa build continues under MIKY's Turnkey Design & Build scope, and this same project will expand with final photography.
