The challenge

The original apartment layout limited how well the available area could be used. The client wanted a more useful home with a distinct character of its own.

Thinking

The architectural plan and interior design were treated as one brief. Changes to the room arrangement and circulation needed to support everyday living, while the visual language had to feel personal to the client.

Process

MIKY developed a revised architectural plan with wall modifications, then designed the reception, kitchen, three bedrooms and bathrooms as a connected interior. The client's brief called for generous dining and seating, practical kitchen storage, and a calm, modern character.

Solution

The proposal makes more purposeful use of the apartment's footprint and gives its rooms a coherent identity shaped by the client's preferences. The visualizations show the proposed design; they are not photographs of a completed build.
